Fairy Drops Volume Burst Mascara

Hi there! (:

This is Merigon making another post on a product I bought in Tokyo. This time, it's going to be a review on the Fairy Drops volume burst mascara.

Well let's start off with some pictures of the mascara on my lashes..

Without any mascara.

Comments...
So this was my first time trying a Fairy Drops product. I can't say that I LOVED it, but I did like it. I wasn't aware that this mascara had fibers in it when I bought it, so I was pretty surprised when I applied it. It did a pretty good job keeping the curl of my lashes, and it definitely had a lengthening effect- almost comparable to the Fiberwig and Dollywink mascaras. As for the volume...I would say it did alright on my lashes. However it was quite clumpy and didn't look very natural - that could have been my fault for over-applying the product xD. I loved the shape of the wand, as it made the application so much easier and cleaner. It's easy to reach the lashes at the corners of the eyes with the tip of the wand. And when this mascara is said to be waterproof...WOW it's WATERPROOF! I think I could go swimming with this LOL. Unlike the fiberwig or dollywink mascaras, that come off easily with hot water, this stuff wouldn't budge. Even if I tried rubbing it, nothing really came off. So this would be a great mascara if you're looking for something really waterproof, but I suggest in that case, purchase a good makeup remover - or something like the Heroine mascara remover to help clean it off. In general, I would say that this mascara was a good purchase, but it doesn't really make it to being one of my favorites.

PROS:
  • Waterproof. Very.
  • Great lengthening effect for a volume mascara
  • Wand shape great for application
  • Keeps curl of lashes

CONS:
  • Difficult to remove
  • Clumpy, not very natural looking
  • Takes time for application

Okay and some additional pics with the product on...

So what to you guys think?
If you've tried this mascara, let my know about your experiences with it! If not, would you be interested in trying this out?

Heroine Mascara to the Rescue!

Nyanko here!

Have you ever had the horrible feeling of your lashes still feeling sticky even after you've removed your makeup?
I've definitely experienced that before. In fact, whenever I wear makeup!

or....so it USED to be...

While I was in Japan, I discovered 3 makeup removing products that I am now just crazy about! Today I'm going to share with you the one that's mainly for mascara.

The product is... *drumroll*

Heroine Mascara Remover! :) While I was in Japan, I purchased some Heroine Mascara (which I super recommend by the way, I like it quite a bit :) ) which at the time (due to a special) came with the mascara remover!

This is what the product looks like.

Yes, the pink colour is very pretty :) It makes you feel very nice using it. ANYWAY...

At first I was very skeptical, I mean...how many makeup removers claim to remove mascara and yet suck at their job? COUNTLESS. But this, made especially for mascara removal DOES IT ALL. After using this, most of my eye makeup is able to come off, leaving me little to wash off after ^^

I'll share some ...pics of how I use it ^^

^ok that's like...my with all my makeup :)....I think my makeup wasn't the greatest that day ;_;... but thats ok, I can still make a point about the niceness of this mascara remover.. I think :3

^alright. So in above picture, I have removed my falsies and... you see my sparse and few little kat lashes. :( Anyway, they are clearly (hopely you can see..) coated with mascara.

^here is what the remover looks like. You can see, it's made much like a mascara. It's a watery-white substance.
^So, much like applying mascara, I coat my lashes with this remover. It's so easy, truly its just like you're applying mascara!
^Here you can see my mascara-remover coated lashes! Looks dewy??

^Then, just use a tissue or cotton piece to wipe off the mascara (this also tends to remove most of the other eye makeup too! It's killing many birds with one stone ^^) and that is what my naked eye looks like... T_T

^And...just for the sake of personal humiliation, I will post that pic of what my eye looks like with and without makeup, side by side!....and my forehead out. Now everyone will stop telling me that I might be able to pull off sidebangs LOL Clearly, my hairstyle is the way it is for a reason ;_; I have a large forehead </3

So to end this off, I will just say that... I personally love this mascara remover! :) I definitely recommend it, unless you like sleeping with your lashes sticky.

Happy Nyanko is Happy! :) Hope you enjoyed this post! ^^ See you next time~

Outfit Post #2!

 Hi Everyone (:
Merigon back posting again!

Here's a few set of outfits I wore in during the past 2 weeks. No, I didn't take pictures for everyday.... you know, was just really tired from school and things on some days - so these were mainly outfits I wore on days off, hence some of them are less comfy-casual. It's been getting pretty chilly lately too, so leggings and cardigans will be appearing a lot more from now on (:

Well, enjoy~~
Questions and constructive criticism always welcome (:
...let's not comment on my amateur posing LOL. I *tried*

MUJI Almond Jelly! ♥

I'm sure most of you have heard of the Japanese brand Muji?

Muji is mostly popular for their stationary products, like the cheap and great quality pens and pencils I always keep in my pencil case (: But Muji also sells many other products such as clothing, household items, makeup and even snacks! While I was in Tokyo this summer, I picked up a few snack items from Muji - one being the Almond Jelly Mix. Let me share my love for this store with you xD

As you can see, all the instructions on the back are written in Japanese. But no worries! This almond jelly mix is super easy to make! Let me show you (:

So first of all , the ingredients you'll need are :
  • 1 package of Almond Jelly Mix
  • Milk, 250 ml
  • Hot Water, 250 ml
And a big bowl and tool for mixing your ingredients (I just used a big spoon).

For the milk, you're going to have to heat it up, make sure it's HOT. So after measuring the amount, you can use either the microwave or stove (:

Meanwhile, get your 250ml of hot/boiling water...

Pour it into a big bowl or container, then add your mix! It'd be good to do this while mixing, but since I was holding the camera with one hand, I couldn't orz.

The milk should be heated by now, so add that in with the rest of the ingredients, and MIX WELL! The instructions suggest to mix for about 2 minutes.

Well you feel that everything is well-mixed, pour your mix into whatever containers you like....

And throw them into the fridge! LOL
It'll take a few hours for the jelly to harden, so now all there's to do is wait! I usually leave it overnight.

And there you have almond jelly all good to eat! :D
Perfect snack and super easy to make ♥

*make sure you eat these within 2-3 days though!*

..who likes my SHOUNEN JUMP CUP?! ehhehehe..

So if you get the chance, don't forget to check out the snack section next time you visit a MUJI store! Lots and lots of yummies there :D

Sweetly Seabreeze

Haiya Nyanko here! :) I know, haven't blogged in forever >< forgive me :3

Anyway! Today I'm going to be doing a little love-post about...*dundundun* Seabreeze! Seabreeze is a deodorant-like liquid that is used by many to stay fresh ! :) A liquid deodorant water, per say. It feels extremely good on the skin and helps keep you...well un-gross! :)  When I was in Japan,  I asked my friend about popular products in terms of with high-school, middle-school students and she told me "Seabreeze! Everyone has it. It's like a must-have item!" And so, I went off on a hunt to find one.

Here's a pic of the product before I opened it. You can tell it's unopened cause of the seal at the top :) I bought the peach cooler flavour by the way!

So, even though you guys don't need an entire tut on how to use deodorant (LOL) I'm gonna put up some pics anyway of the..."process" (I'm so damn lame lol)

^ok Guys. Here is my seabreeze. Still spiffy, unopened and nice. Just showing it off, obviously.

^Then I shake it. Because before you use sea breeze, you must shake the product for the little deodorant particles to mix...or something. The powder bits, if you will XD

^Finally took off the seal! and it's open, ready for a test :) Let's see how this baby looks.
^ok ignore my messy floor please! :) I put the product out on my hand.

^It's a bit hard to see, but if you look you can see the white watery liquid in the palm of my hand. It's very watery, not creamy and seems very fresh (not sticky).

^Ok! So I just tested the product on my neck area....

^And voila! I feel all fresh and un-custy! I feel refreshed and everything!

Overall I think this product is good and I see why it's such a hit in Japan. During sweaty times or extremely hot weathers, this is a perfect way to freshen up, without constant showers. (I'm not saying don't shower T_T I'm saying like, no need to shower 15 times a day).

Seabreeze comes at about 600yen (rounded up) which is about $6.00~$7.00 Canadian dollars. I think it's a pretty decent price.

FOR GIRLS: There is a way to become a hit with all the boys in high school using the power of owning seabreeze. I read this in a magazine, but apparently one way to attract men....is always carrying a spare seabreeze that you can lend to sexy boys who forgot their own at home. Then when they are in trouble and like "oh geez man, I forgot my Sea breeze at home..." or "Oh no I ran out of sea breeze MAJIDE" you can tap them on the shoulder, and offer them your extra bottle. Apparently it makes men think "oh...she's cute. and So prepared, I'm into that...mmmmm *licks lips*".

ok! So, without further ado, I will post some camwhore pics I took with this beautiful product that comes in many colours/flavours.

Thanks for reading! :) Every view matters and every comment Merigon and I celebrate <3
